Installing Your Felt Pinboard

Attaching a felt pinboard to a wall can be a hassle-free process with the help of 3M Command strips which are included in your pack. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

Materials Needed:

  • 3M Command strips (included in pack)
  • Measuring tape or ruler
  • Pencil
  • Felt pinboard (included in pack)

Step 1: Measure the Wall

Before you start, measure the wall where you want to attach the felt pinboard. Make sure to measure the length and width of the wall and write down the measurements.

Step 2: Prepare the 3M Command Strips

Take the 3M Command strips out of their packaging.

Step 3: Clean the Wall

Clean the wall where you want to attach the felt pinboard. This will help ensure a strong hold for the 3M Command strips.

Step 4: Apply the 3M Command Strips to the Wall

Peel the backing off one side of the 3M Command strips and attach the strips to the wall. Make sure the velcro side is visible, as the velcro will attach to the felt pinboard.  Make sure to press the strips firmly against the wall to ensure a strong hold. Repeat this process with the remaining strips, spacing them evenly along the wall.

Step 5: Attach the Felt Pinboard

Once the 3M Command strips are securely attached to the wall, it's time to attach the felt pinboard. Hold the felt pinboard up to the wall and make sure it's level. Once you have it in the correct position, press the felt pinboard firmly against the velcro of the 3M Command strips. The felt pinboard should now be securely attached to the wall.

Step 6: Check the Pinboard

To make sure the felt pinboard is securely attached to the wall, gently pull on it. If it's firmly attached, it shouldn't move.

And that's it! Attaching a felt pinboard to a wall using 3M Command strips is a quick and easy process that will give you a place to display important items and keep your space organised.

Note: If you're attaching the felt pinboard to a textured wall, you may need to use a stronger adhesive like heavy-duty mounting tape or a heavy-duty adhesive. Additionally, if you're concerned about the pinboard damaging the wall, you can attach it to a piece of plywood or other sturdy material and then attach that to the wall.
